Christian Science teaches that God is Love, an ever-present source of good and guidance in our lives, and that we can always turn to our Father-Mother God for help with any situation and find healing. The discoverer and founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, was healed of a critical back injury after a fall by reading about Jesus’ healings in her Bible and spent the following three years studying the Bible to learn how Jesus healed. She named her discovery Christian Science because it is a demonstrable science based on Christ Jesus’ teachings. You can read published testimonies of healings over the past 150 years in our Reading Room and online here and hear about healings our church members have experienced though their study of Christian Science each week at our Wednesday evening testimony meetings at 6:30pm.

Our Sunday services are based on 26 weekly Bible Lesson subjects (for example, “Love” or “Life”) that appear twice a year. These Bible Lessons are composed of readings from our Pastor, the King James Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The Bible Lesson is read each Sunday by two elected church members. The service begins at 10:30 am and ends at 11:30am. Sunday School, for students ages four to nineteen, is at the same time.

On Wednesdays at 6:30pm, you will hear readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures on a certain topic, often relating to world or community issues. During the second half of this meeting, the congregation is invited to share testimonies of healing and other insights gained through the study of Christian Science. We hope you will join us for this healing midweek hour of inspiration and uplift!

Our Reading Room is a quiet place to study, pray, and borrow or purchase the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the Christian Science Journal (a monthly publication with inspiring articles and verified accounts of healing), the Christian Science Sentinel (a weekly publication with articles about praying for our world as well as testimonies of healing), and the Christian Science Monitor (a Pulitzer Prize–winning weekly newsmagazine with a focus on people working toward solutions to domestic and global issues). The Reading Room attendant would also be very happy to answer any questions you might have about Christian Science.
